Upon arriving at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, a tour representative will welcome you and drive directly to Shillong. After having breakfast, you will leave for the town of Cherrapunji (Sohra). This area is well known for its waterfalls and beautiful scenery of green hills. One of your must–see attractions here will be the Seven Sisters Falls & Nohkalikai Falls, along with visiting limestone caves such as Mawslmai Cave & Arwah Cave. Do not miss the chance to take in breathtaking views from some of Cherrapunji‘s many lookout points and peaceful, mist–covered valleys before retiring for the evening in Cherrapunji.
After breakfast, you will travel to Mawlynnong (Asia‘s Cleanest Village) to visit the Living Roots Bridges and interact with the locals of Mawlynnong. After visiting Mawlynnong, continue to Dawki (Umngot River) where you can take advantage of an optional boat ride along the crystal–clear waters of the Umngot River. After exploring Dawki you will head back to your hotel in Shillong for overnight accommodations.
You will have a full day of sightseeing in Shillong, and will be visiting sites such as Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak for fantastic views, Ward‘s Lake and Laitlum Canyon. The evening will be all about free time – either shopping or relaxing before staying overnight at your hotel in Shillong.
