Day 1Cochin Arrival

After arriving at Cochin Airport, you will be greeted by our tour representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to relax and refresh yourself. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore the nearby attractions at your own pace.

Cochin, also known as Kochi or Ernakulam, is a charming port city often called the “Gateway to Kerala” and the “Queen of the Arabian Sea.” The city is rich in culture and history, featuring many heritage sites that reflect Kerala’s traditional art and folklore. You can take a peaceful walk around Fort Kochi, a scenic coastal area lined with colonial-era buildings, antique shops, and cosy cafés. It’s also a great spot to buy Kerala handlooms, aromatic spices, and local souvenirs.

In the evening, enjoy delicious Kerala cuisine at one of the local restaurants. Stay overnight at your hotel in Cochin and make the most of your Kerala Tour Packages experience.

Day 2Cochin

After an early breakfast, begin Day 2 of your Kerala houseboat package with a tour of Cochin’s major attractions. Your day includes visits to the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace), Jewish Synagogue, and St. Francis Church.

Start with the Dutch Palace, famous for its beautiful Kerala Tour Packages murals that depict the history of the local kings. Next, visit the Jewish Synagogue, which has been a gathering place for the Jewish community since 1561 and stands as a testament to the region’s colonial history. Then explore St. Francis Church, one of the oldest churches in India, where you can see the burial site of the famous explorer Vasco Da Gama. Nearby, you can also visit Santa Cruz Basilica, a heritage building showcasing Indo-European and Gothic architectural styles.

Later, head to the Chinese Fishing Nets, a unique attraction where the large nets create a stunning view, especially at sunset. In the evening, enjoy a stroll through the local markets for shopping and souvenirs.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cochin.

Solo Traveller

I recently booked the 5 Nights / 6 Days Kerala Backwaters Tour, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived in Cochin, the tour was well-organized and comfortable. Visiting the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, and Chinese Fishing Nets was fascinating and gave a deep insight into Kerala’s rich culture.

The highlight of the trip was the houseboat cruise in Alleppey — sailing through the serene backwaters, seeing the lush greenery, and watching the sunset from the boat was magical. Kovalam Beach was beautiful and peaceful, and the Trivandrum sightseeing added a perfect end to the trip.

The hotels and houseboat were comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the beauty and culture of Kerala.
