Tour Details

People choose the Char Dham Yatra for different reasons. For some, it is a long-held family belief. For others, it is a personal promise. A 10-day Char Dham Yatra Tour Package simply gives the time needed to complete this journey without pressure. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are visited with patience, not haste, which matters a lot on such a spiritual route.

While traveling during the Char Dham Yatra, pilgrims pass through towns like Haridwar, Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, Rudraprayag, and Rishikesh. These places are not added just to fill the itinerary. They help the body adjust to altitude and weather. Most people realize only during the journey that slow travel actually makes the yatra easier.

The Char Dham Yatra tour package from Haridwar usually includes help with registration, route clarity, and basic guidance. This support is useful, especially for those doing the yatra for the first time. Stay arrangements remain simple, food is light, and transport planning considers mountain road conditions rather than speed.

This Char Dham Yatra plan by Tripojee Pvt. Ltd. is not fixed for everyone. Some pilgrims need extra rest days, while others prefer moving faster. Age, health, and budget often decide the pace. In the end, the idea is to finish the yatra calmly and return home with a clear mind, not tired legs, while keeping the Char Dham Yatra cost practical.

What to Expect – Char Dham Yatra Tour Package 2026

People plan the Char Dham Yatra Tour Package for many reasons, and emotions play a big role in that decision. For some, it is linked to family beliefs. For others, it is a personal goal they have waited years to fulfill. The journey generally starts from Haridwar. Pilgrims stay there for a short while, attend Ganga Aarti, and take a pause before moving ahead into the hills.

The Char Dham Yatra is mostly a road journey, and this is where reality sets in. There are long stretches of driving, narrow roads, and sudden weather changes. These things are normal in Uttarakhand. As the route goes higher, the surroundings become quieter and the pace of travel slows on its own. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are reached step by step. Many pilgrims feel this gradual movement suits the journey better than trying to cover everything quickly.

This Char Dham Yatra tour package is planned with comfort in mind, not luxury. Drivers know the hill routes well, hotels are simple but clean, and local support is available when needed. Some travelers are coming here for the first time, while others return after many years. In both situations, the aim is simple—to finish the yatra peacefully and go back home feeling settled, not tired.

  • Offer prayers at the Divya Shila before entering the sacred Yamunotri Temple.
  • Seek blessings at the holy shrines of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham.
  • Explore the spiritual aura of Uttarkashi and visit its revered temples.
  • Take a purifying dip in the natural hot water kund for spiritual cleansing.
  • Visit the ancient and divine temples of Guptkashi.
  • Pay homage and express devotion at the Kedarnath Temple.

Itinerary

Day 1Dehradun/Haridwar to Barkot (175 km / 5.5 hours) | Height: 1352 m

When you arrive at Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station, your Char Dham Yatra Tour Package officially begins. Our team member will already be there to receive you. From here, the drive to Barkot starts, and yes, it’s a long journey, but also a very scenic one.

We usually pass through Mussoorie on the way. Most travelers like to stop at Kempty Falls for a short break. Some people take photos, some just sit for a while and enjoy the cool air. It feels good after hours on the road.

By the time you reach Barkot, it’s best to check in and relax. The journey can be tiring, so the rest of the day is kept light. If you want, you can step out for a short walk nearby. The weather is calm, especially in the evening. Dinner and night stay will be at the hotel in Barkot.

Day 2Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (45.6 km drive & 6 km trek one way)

The morning starts quite early on this day. After breakfast, you leave for Jankichatti or Phoolchatti, which is where the Yamunotri trek begins. From this point, the temple is roughly 6 km away. Some people decide to walk the entire route, while others use a horse or palki. It mostly depends on comfort and energy levels.

Once the trek starts, things slow down naturally. The path passes through green valleys, pine trees, and small plants growing along the trail. Many pilgrims stop in between, not for photos, but simply to rest for a minute or two. There’s no hurry here, and the walk feels calm.

Before entering the temple area, devotees usually stop at Surya Kund, the hot water spring. You’ll see people cooking rice in cloth bags and carrying it back as prasad. Taking a dip at Jammabai Kund and offering prayers at Divya Shila is also common.

After completing darshan at Yamunotri, you head back to Jankichatti and then drive to Barkot. The evening is generally relaxed. You stay overnight in Barkot.

Day 3Barkot – Uttarkashi (82 km / 2.8 hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and start your drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival, visit the famous Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest temples of Lord Shiva in North India, and the Shakti Temple, known for its large Trishul (trident).

After the temple visit, check in at your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for rest or exploring nearby areas at your own pace. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in Uttarkashi.

Day 4Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (195 km / 6.7 hours)

After breakfast, start your drive to Gangotri. On the way, stop at Gangnani and take a holy dip in the Garam Kund (hot water spring). Continue your journey through the beautiful Harsil Valley, known for its scenic mountains and apple orchards.

When you reach Shree Gangotri, take a sacred bath in the holy river Ganga, known as Bhagirathi at its origin. Offer prayers and perform pooja to seek blessings. Spend some peaceful time enjoying the natural beauty around the temple.

You can also visit nearby places like the Kedar Ganga Sangam and the Submerged Shivling, which becomes visible when the water level is low — a spiritually enriching experience often included in Char Dham Yatra Tour Package 2026 itineraries.

Later, drive back to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (199 km / 6.9 hours)

After breakfast, you check out from the hotel and begin the drive towards Guptkashi. The road goes via Moolgarh and Lambgaon. It’s a long drive, but most of the time you are moving alongside the Mandakini River, which makes the journey pleasant.

Near Tilwara, the river comes very close to the road. Many travelers slow down here just to look outside for a while. The Mandakini flows down from Kedarnath, and for most of the route, it stays with you, sometimes quiet, sometimes fast.

Once you reach Guptkashi, you check in at the hotel and take some rest. The town is calm in the evening. If you feel like stepping out, a short visit to the Ardhnarishwar Temple is usually done. People sit there for some time, offer prayers, and return quietly.

Dinner is taken at the hotel. You stay the night in Guptkashi.

Day 6Guptkashi – Sonprayag (30 km drive) – Kedarnath (21 km trek)

After your medical check-up, drive to Sonprayag. From here, your trek to Kedarnath begins. The trek is about 19–21 km and can be done on foot, by pony, or by palki.

It is advised to carry your necessary medicines, toiletries, warm clothes, and other essentials for the overnight stay at Kedarnath, as the weather can be very cold.

On reaching Kedarnath, visit the famous Kedarnath Temple and offer your prayers to Lord Shiva. Feel the divine energy and peace in the beautiful mountain surroundings — a sacred highlight included in every Char Dham Yatra Tour Package.

Stay overnight at Kedarnath.

Day 7Kedarnath – Sonprayag (21 km trek) – Guptkashi (30 km drive)

Wake up early in the morning and get ready for the Abhishek Pooja at the Kedarnath Temple, which starts around 4:45 am. After taking a bath, visit the temple and enter the Garbha Griha (inner sanctum) to offer prayers and bow before Lord Shiva.

After the darshan, begin your trek back to Sonprayag. Once you reach Sonprayag, our driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Guptkashi.

Check in, relax, have dinner, and enjoy an overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 8Guptkashi – Badrinath (193 km / 6.1 hours)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and start your drive to Badrinath, the last temple of the Chota Char Dham Yatra. The holy shrine is located at an altitude of 3,133 meters, surrounded by the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges.

When you reach Badrinath, take a bath in the Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring on the banks of the Alaknanda River, before entering the temple. Then visit the Badrinath Temple and seek blessings from Lord Vishnu (Badrinarayan). This sacred experience is a key highlight of the Char Dham Yatra Tour Package.

You can also explore nearby sacred sites like Sheshnetra Ashram, Brahma Kapal, and the Mata Murti Temple, where devotees take blessings from the mother of Lord Badrinath. Other popular attractions include Bhim Pul, Vasundhara Waterfall, and Vyas Gufa.

Later, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 9Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag (151 km / 4.6 hours)

Wake up early and take a holy bath in the Tapt Kund. After that, visit the Badrinath Temple (Badri Vishal) to offer prayers to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped here in one of his five sacred forms.

After the darshan, explore nearby attractions within a few kilometers of the temple, such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Mata Murti Temple, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the origin point (Mukh) of the Saraswati River — all of which are popular highlights in many Char Dham Yatra Tour Package  itineraries.

Later, drive back to Rudraprayag (or Kirtinagar) via Joshimath, enjoying scenic views along the way. Once you arrive, check in at your hotel, relax, and have dinner.

Stay overnight in Rudraprayag. Explore ladakh tour packages

Day 10Rudraprayag – Devprayag – Rishikesh – Dehradun (175 km / 4.7 hours)

After breakfast, start your drive towards Rishikesh, also known as the Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas. It is one of the holiest cities for Hindus, where the sacred River Ganga flows through the town.

On the way, stop at Devprayag, the holy confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, where the two merge to form the Ganga River.

Once you reach Rishikesh, visit some of its famous attractions such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, and the Sivananda Ashram. Enjoy the peaceful spiritual atmosphere of this beautiful town — a memorable experience often included in the Char Dham Yatra Tour Package 2026.

After completing your Char Dham Yatra, you will be driven to the Haridwar Railway Station (or Dehradun) for your onward journey.
